The major preventive check-up goes beyond basic medical care. In addition to a comprehensive health check-up, it also includes a detailed survey and consultation on individual risk factors and sensible preventive measures to help you stay healthy.

What is examined in the major preventive check-up? 

Our major preventive care check-up at Avi Medical is designed to help you leave with peace of mind about your health status.

In the process, we examine your body very closely and, among other things, look at your entire abdomen and all important organs and check your blood in a blood count that goes beyond the usual scope. Due to the scope and so that you can better integrate your major check-up into your daily routine, the examinations are divided into two sessions:

Appointment 1 (approx. 75 minutes):

1. ‍Anamnesis (personal and social anamnesis) 
2. Physical examination
3. Blood sample
4. Pulmonary function test (spirometry)
5. Urine examination
6. Checking your vaccination status
7. ECG 
8. Exercise ECG (ergometry)
9. Ultrasound examination of your abdominal organs
10. Schedule your follow-up appointment.

Appointment 2 (approx. 30 minutes): ‍

1. Ultrasound examination of your thyroid gland
2. In the follow-up consultation after the examination, you and your doctor will discuss the results of your health examination, taking into account your individual risk profile. Together we will look at how you can continue to be healthy and prevent the development of diseases. If necessary, we will recommend adjustments to your lifestyle. We will also be happy to support you in this.

What do I need to keep in mind during the major preventive check-up? 

For your blood and urine test, it is important that you arrive at your first appointment fasting. For this, it may be advisable that you book your appointment directly in the morning. Please continue to remember to wear comfortable sports clothing for your stress ECG at your first appointment and allow sufficient time.

What does the major preventive check-up cost? 

Our major preventive check-up is an optional service that we offer exclusively to our patients. As a rule, this service is not covered by your statutory health insurance. The cost price is 594€.
