A referral slip helps to refer patients between doctors of different specialities. If you are being treated by a general practitioner and need to be treated by another doctor for a specific condition (e.g. dermatology), we will issue a referral slip.
The note is used for communication between the doctors. We as a GP practice can already describe there which illness we suspect in you and which examinations are necessary. In addition, the specialists can send the findings back to us after the diagnosis and/or treatment has been completed. In this way, we in our Avi Medical practices can fulfil our function as an "information anchor" for our patients: we have an overview of all your health-relevant findings and can discuss them with you.
